Everything You Need to Know about the Admissions Process
Link Year does not except FAFSA since we are not an accredited, four year institution. However, we welcome you to look into our scholarship application process. Past students have also gotten scholarships from private donors and organizations.
If a student starts the program and decides to leave or is dismissed, there is no refund available. If a student is dismissed during the 1st semester, he or she will not be required to pay the 2nd semester tuition. Any payment made toward international trips is non-refundable.
YES! To pay for your student’s deposit, tuition, and trips, you have three options.
First, you can mail a check made out to Link Year to 1353 Lake Shore Drive Branson, MO 65616.
Second, you can call Katie Gliebe at 417.266.3716 and she can help you over the phone.
Finally, you may pay online by logging into your account and choosing ‘make payment.’ If you are unsure of or do not remember your login information, you can click on “Forgot Password,” and after a few short steps you will be able to pay online.
Class of 2022-2023 ~ Traditional Students
• Tuition, Room, & Board – $16,800
– Fall Semester – $8,550
• Deposit to Confirm spot in Program – $1,000
• Discipline and Damage Waiver – $300
– Returned approximately 30 days after graduation
– Spring Semester – $8,250
• Trips – $3,500 – $4,000
Class of 2022-2023 ~ Student Athletes
• Tuition, Room, & Board – $20,300
– Fall Semester – $10,300
• Deposit to Confirm spot in Program – $1,000
• Discipline and Damage Waiver – $300
– Returned approximately 30 days after graduation
– Spring Semester – $10,000

Tuition Payments: There have been numerous cases involving attempts to claim contribution for payments that effectively are tuition to a private school. Occasionally, the IRS has even asserted that the donors were guilty of criminal tax fraud. Probably any payment which has the result directly or indirectly of funding a specific person’s tuition will not be tax deductible (Rev. Rule 83-104). It does not matter that the donor is not related to the student. -ECFA
If you desire to donate to Link Year and receive a tax-deduction please do so without specifying an individual and we will allot scholarship monies to students that have applied for aid.
We accept applications year-round. To ensure that you would have a spot in our next class, we would encourage you to apply the Fall Semester of your Senior Year.
No. Link Year is not the right place for everyone who applies, nor is everyone who applies right for Link Year.
Link Year is unable to take students who don’t choose to participate in the Link Year. Because of this policy the Link Year has the right to deny admission to anyone who is unwilling to participate.
Students must be at least 17 years old at the start of the program, and at most 20 years old.
Unfortunately, we do not. We believe that students get the best experience by being here the whole year.
It depends on the situation. Our staff makes a case-by-case decision through the application and interview process.
