Seven Pillars of
Link Year
Our curriculum is based off of what we call ‘The Seven Pillars.’ This concept is taken from Proverbs 9:1 – ‘Wisdom has built her house, she has raised her seven pillars.’ These pillars help our staff and students weather the storms of their lives because they have a strong foundation in Scripture. From these pillars, everything else flows. During their time at Link Year, students will have the opportunity to form seven biblically-based pillars of their own which they can carry with them beyond their time at Link Year.
Biblical Worldview

Your own thoughts, decisions, and actions impact how you see the world around you. Our students learn to filter their perspective through the lens of Scripture, leaving our campus with the ability to defend what they believe in a humble, gentle banner.
Maximizing Moments

We used to take pictures to capture moments, now we take pictures trying to create moments, and as a result, we are missing moments. Link Year serves as a catalyst to help each student seize their divine opportunity.
Privilege Responsibility

Stewardship and responsibility are foundational to success in life. Through campus jobs and time management coaching, our students prepare themselves for whatever college, career, and life challenges lie ahead.
Heart Transformation

We want our students to understand it’s not about behavior modification – it’s about heart transformation. We achieve this by fostering community among our students, which encourages authenticity and enables students to apply the truth of the Gospel to their lives.

The worst thing we can do for our students is to send them out into the world with a compass that points to themselves. The best thing we can do for a student is to send them out into the world with God’s Word as their compass. Our students leave Link Year with a hunger and thirst for the Word of God, which sheds light unto their path – wherever they go.
Authentic Accountability

What does authentic accountability look like in a world filled with technology and digital distractions? Rediscover what it looks like to sincerely communicate with one another through small groups, intentional mentoring, and peer-to-peer accountability.
Growing in Gratefulness

In a culture filled with entitlement and excess, challenge yourself to develop a heart of thankfulness through biblical gratitude. We will equip you through international mission trips and urban experiences while consistently pointing you back to Scripture. We want every student to walk within the will of God. Gratefulness is within His will, and entitlement is the antonym to gratitude. Therefore, we must eradicate entitlement.
