In 2009, Adam Donyes was working with high school students and realized that they were not prepared to enter the world, let alone college, with an understanding of who they are and whose they are. Over the course of three years, he dreamed up Link Year, a program that equips and empowers young leaders to walk into the world with a Biblical Worldview, standing firm in their beliefs when the world is ready to throw lies at them every day.

The first Link Year class graduated in 2012 with 31 students. The program continued to grow, and Adam introduced a basketball team to the program in 2017 – the Link Year Lions. He had a passion for college athletes to impact their basketball teams with the gospel, and wanted to equip them through the program of Link Year before they went to college. In 2019, the program grew to two basketball teams.

As of today, enrollment is at capacity – the program continues to grow and develop as the years continue! Over ten years later, there are over 500 Link Year alumni all over the world who are impacting their schools and communities for Christ.
